Stunning, beautiful location close enough to light traffic when you decided to visit various areas making visits far quicker as you were away from the motoring madness you have in built up areas. And short walk to the fields, yards and great local restuarants.

Fantastic B&B, with clean rooms, beautifully decorated. Comfy beds with quality sheets. The bathroom was amazing with a large freestanding bath and a huge walk-in shower. The breakfast was superb and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We even got help washing our clothes! The location was lovely, with a peaceful farm nearby and easy access to York. I highly recommend this B&B for a wonderful stay.

The location was beautiful and exceptionally nice, very close to the local train station, eating out, and best attractions. It is situated conveniently close to York, Knaresborough, Harrogate, and the A1.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Thistledown House. Our purpose was to explore York and the surrounding area, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. The owners, Eric and Lesley, were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast, prepared by Eric himself. The beautiful grounds were an added bonus, perfect for leisurely walks. We would love to stay here again.

The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options and cooked to perfection. The couple who run the hotel were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, even giving me a lift to the nearby train station. The location was beautiful, offering a peaceful and scenic environment.

The bedroom was on the smaller side, which may be a bit limiting for a longer stay. The bathroom was quite cold as there was no heater in it, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

This place was truly amazing, situated in a beautiful well-kept area. It's not too far from Knaresborough and even has an Italian restaurant nearby! 🌳
